How to Pick a Size
Match the size to the reading distance, not the wall. A banner read from across a parking lot needs to be bigger than one people will walk right up to. As a rough guide: under 10 feet away, 2-3 feet of banner height is plenty. Across a storefront or parking lot, 4 feet or more keeps text legible from a moving car.
Bigger isn't automatically better indoors. A 4'x8' banner in a narrow hallway overwhelms the space and forces awkward hanging; a 3'x6' or smaller reads better and fits the room. Save the large sizes for open outdoor space where there's real distance between the banner and the viewer.
