Big and tall covers two different things, not one. Tall sizing adds body length at the same chest width. Big sizing adds chest width at standard body length. Port and Company's tall line runs LT through 4XLT, each one matching its letter-equivalent regular size in chest width and adding a consistent 3 inches of length. XLT and XL share the exact same chest width. The T only changes body length: on Port and Company's tall line, XLT measures 24 inches across the chest, identical to regular XL, but adds 3 inches of extra body length (34 inches versus 31 inches) for a longer torso fit.
